Yesterday we worked hard on fixing bugs and releasing the standalone. We fixed:

  • The game now loads on Safari
  • The game now loads for French users
  • Improved the general loading time
  • Solved 6 server issues
  • Login bugs are fixed (for players who reserved a username)

Today we will put a new MatchMaking system live, that should fix issues with matchmaking and refunds

We will also remove the standalone build, as we need to certify it. Right now it is quite dangerous to download the standalone game, because hackers could alter the file and add virusses to it. No such thing has happened yet, but we don't want to make that happen in the future.

We continue working on:

  • General server stability
  • Keep an eye on the servers health
  • Solve the achievement bugs

Moops, do you have ad blocker on? And if so, does disabling the adblocker work for you? Is the adblocker ublock?

I am a Spanish user and for me it has worked fine on Windows, but on Mac I can´t get it to work on Chrome. It worked on release date (in mac), but the next day it stopped working. It simply says "Connection Lost" and I can´t do anything from there. I have the exact same probem on Safari and Firefox, and I want to point out that I have my ad blocker disabled. So the conclusion is: 

I can play on windows via the standalone version, but on mac it is impossible because there is no standalone and http://cf3.curvefever.com/ doesn´t work on any browser. I would try opera... etc, but I think that if it doesn´t work in the top 3, it won´t work on any other browser.

Is the search timer in Arena Mode supposed to stop if you move to a different tab in your browser, and does this mean that you're not put in an Arena room for as long as the timer is stopped? I myself would much rather prefer a notification (like in CF2) in the tab name if you've successfully joined a room, and that the game is starting.

Could I also suggest adding in a feature displaying how many players that are waiting to be matched up in an Arena? Right now it shows how many players there are, but I'm also interested in knowing how many waiters there are. It would at least reduce the amount of unneccessary waiting time in the lobby for my own part.

why no sound in cf3? and still, dont have proper p-ups and curves for wining arena 2.

@Doran, I found a way to more efficiently get into Arena 3 games quicker. If you rotate between custom games and Arena, the amount of players in each Arena updates. So let's say for example that Arena 3 suddenly goes from 18 to 12 players. That means a game of 6 players just ended and it's likely that a few or all of those players are going to return to the queue. That's the perfect time to search I found - can get into a game in under 10 seconds on Arena 3 sometimes.

The win in arena x achievement will be fixed tomorrow.
It might already be fixed in the current version but we'll be looking at it in more detail tomorrow to make sure it's working.

For the sounds, we didn't have time to implement sounds before the release.
It's one of the many features on the list of things that still need to be done.
After we've fixed most of the major issues we'll start working on new features and we'll probably have a poll where you can vote for the feature you want the most.

Hi,

I dl the client yesterday but after few hours this message pop : "update pending : there is a new version of the game, refresh your browser to get it" but I cant do it or find where I took the client =D 

Is there a solution or I have just to wait ?

It says 0s waiting time for every arena (8808 Player, 2352 Player, 480 Player) but i have to wait minutes after minutes. Whats wrong?

And are there really in all areans together more than 11000 Players online on a Thursday 10 AM?

Yeah, we're waiting for a certificate for the standalone version.
We don't wanna publish a standalone version without the certificate and there were also several issues with it.
You'll have to stick with the web version till we get that.

Depending on your browser, the game will not run if the tab is not focused. This is an optimization of how browsers work, and unfortunately not something we can easily work around.

On your second idea, I can see how it can be benificial, but if the counter says 0 people in queue, does that make you want to queue? It could work detrimental to queue times, as people only want to enqueue at 5 and never at 0.
