Curve Fever mentors and students programme
We've created this programme to create a system where both mentors and students can benefit from each other. This programme involves players, mentors, helping other players, students, who want to improve.
It will also involve separating the students into 4 groups (Groups A-C) depending on their skills for each item they would like to improve on (Thin, speed or coner). We will also assign mentors to each appropriate group where they are given 1 or 2 students (depending on their preference). Although a student will have a mentor, they are free to ask advice/tips from any mentor in their own group.
At the moment, we are planning 10/15 players in each group. We decided to create a system in which everyone benefits from. Therefore, students can become mentors for the students which are in a group lower than theirs. For example, students from Group B can become mentors for Group C.
There will also be regular FFA and 1v1 tournaments.
This is a very serious programme and we need as many people helping us to make it achievable. We need around 2-3 assistants for each group who monitor that group and make sure everything is working fine. We also need 'Creators' who work alongside myself, Purr. and Maqician. coming up with new ideas and overlooking the whole project.
We also need someone who has good experience with making spreadsheets on google docs as we need the schedule up there with everyone's names and all the necessary information. If you think this person is you feel free to contact me.
Why should I become mentor?
Remember, becoming a mentor is NOT time-consuming. We will pair you up with a student, and the 2 parties can plan sessions. You can plan how ever many lessons you would both like.
It is very important that players who would like to be a part of this programme need to be active. Having inactive players will have a lot of negative consequences. Players also need to be very passionate and should be prepared to better themselves and help other players. We cannot accept players who are not passionate about improving themselves because we will only give up our time for players who care about making improvements. Lastly, we will not accept inappropriate behaviour and if players are found to be behaving inappropriately they will be removed. We want to make a positive environment where players are not intimidated or discouraged.
How can I apply?
You can apply by commenting below. If you are applying as a mentor, please mention which items you are confident with. If you are applying as student, please mention which item(s) you would like to improve on. If you would like to be both mentor and student, please mention this too. Alternatively, you can contact me in-game or send me a private message. My username in-game is F l u s s. You could also contact any of the other Creators I mentioned in this post.
What happens after I apply?
Once we have found enough mentors and students, we will contact you and match you to the appropriate groups. We plan to start this programme after less than 2 weeks. We are also planning on making a channel on the Curve Fever server on discord to make contact easier. Make sure to check forums regularly for any updates and news because it will be time-consuming to ask every mentor and student ourselves.
I would like to become an assistant or Creator where do I apply?
There are limited spaces for assistants since we are only looking for around 15 players to help us. Therefore, we need you to send a private message explaining why you would like to become an assistant, how you will help us and what skills you have to help you do this. To become a creator, you should also apply and list some ideas you can bring to the team to help us. You need to be active.
