Queue and fair system

Would be cool if you could just queue up for any gamemode and it makes it fair with ranking. Also if someone leaves the client should automatically leave one player out. This way we will not have so many wintraders at 2k that belongs at 1.2, and never again unfair games.

@Snay, too much complexity and far too easy to exploit.

What exactly do you mean by queueing? Give an example of how you think this would work.

Actually that was a brilliant idea with the leaving one random player out of each round if there's 'leavers' in the opposite team in order to keep it fair and square also more of a fun game.

Kicking a random player out of the game just because the opponent has lost one player doesn't seem to be a good idea. Because in a scenario where the worst player (inactive for example) leaves, the leader from the other team could get kicked, that leads to unfairness.

What I would like to see, is a system where, if an unfair situation presents itself (for example one person leaves), then all the following rounds, and until the leaver comes "eventually" back, the other team HAS to make it fair, (one has to die and won't lose any points), but if the system detects that all the players are still playing and attacking, they would lose points even if they win the game.

So imagine this : Team A (A1, A2, A3, A4), Team B (B1, B2, B3, B4). Say A2 leaves, then Team B has to make fair starting NEXT round (not that same round), if they don't, they start gaining malus (negative) points that get subtracted from their total earnings. So say for each unfair round they gain -10 (severe), if at the end they played 5 unfair rounds, that sums it up to -50, if they earn 23, 23 - 50 = -27 so each one loses 27 points. Of course this is a very severe case. That way, if Team B plays unfair for only ONE round, they would still win 23 - 10 = 13 because apparently they were so close anyway (not THAT unfair, at least not like playing half the game 3 vs 4 or 2 vs 4).

One side note : The system HAS to warn the team that's not playing fair that they are doing so, because many people turn off the chat or just don't read it so they won't know that their team are trying to decide on who gets to die.

Extra side note : Making fair = for each leaver from the opponent team, one player has to S-T-O-P touching left and right arrow keys. Making fair DOES NOT mean going by the walls or drawing a snail, I've seen it so many times, people do it in order not to lose any points, but it's not totally fair because as humans we are tempted to help our teammates. So the system has to be robust enough to know that player X is making fair, so they aren't considered inactive (thus won't lose points).

I've said this before and I'll say it again. This "being fair" is entirely the choice of the team who is against a leaver. There is no rule at all which states you must play fair, and there shouldn't be in my opinion. Why should the developers have to make completely ridiculous complex code just because someone leaves a game?

There is also 2 sides to this. I have played many MANY games, where someone from the opposite team says something like "omg I'm playing so bad, I'm going to leave guys so you can have a fair game". What???? They were a team of 4 who accepted the conditions when they started the game, but expect us to play 3v3 because someone didn't want to play? How is that fair on the team still with 4? I can't just walk off a football park because I'm having a bad game and tell the opposition to take one off too. That's not how the world works.

Also please note, leavers already have an additional punishment of extra rank reduction, even if they win

I think everyone knows that there's an extra punishment for leaving Tranquility., that's doesn't make it fair though, because you still get to play 3vs4. Which ends up going this way : 2 people sandwich the leader every round, and then kill the rest easily.

I think it would be quite unfair to "force" someone not to play Curve Fever. That's really really negative, and I'm guessing would require some hardcore coding xD. In my opinion this should be the choice of the players to show good sportsmanship.
