Laggers need help

First, let me apologize for my bad english:

As you should know, most of the laggers are coming from America Server. Most of them are discriminated for that, also we can't go to american server because it's always empty. But this is not the problem i wanted to talk about, its about the rankings.

Laggers (included me) get a sign "Slow Connection!" at least ten times p/day. And its the reason we lose. After the match, we lose so much points, points that cost us time.

While the most important thing is fun, its not fun to lose our effort to get a better rank (and we want to have more rank to enter "pro" games)

So i wanted to know if you could create a mechanism to fix this. That when it detects a bad connection of some player, this doesn't lose or earn points.

This would help a lot. Thank you for reading.

Two mistakes in here. Sure the american players often lag at the european servers, but there are so many laggers out there, that I don't think that the americans are the biggest group. There are by far more polish, dutch and german players and I guess if you collect all laggers of those countrys there will be a lot more laggers at each country.

I also played for some months at the american server and I have to say at the morning(european time) it's empty, yes, but at the evening and night I was always able to find players for 1vs1, FFA or teamgames.

This simply won't work, as it has several issues:

1. It is very easy to avoid this system.

->

If I have a bad game, I can simply open a lot of tabs like YouTube and similar, which will lower my connection to the game a lot (I guess if I open 10 YouTube videos, each about 5 min duration, it will give me atleast 2-3 minutes heavy ingincrease while the videos are loading). This would also cause slow connection and so on and your system would start = I won't lose rank and wait for a continue like this untill I have a good game.

This is just one example how to abuse it.

2. If your connection to the european server is very bad, you will have almost never the case that you have a whole smooth game.

->

You will earn rank maybe at 1 out of 20 games. The rank is the mainpart of the competetive gameplay at CurveFever and without that it would be the same as it is now for you. Than you can also play unranked, but I guess you don't want that.

3. The slow connection message has a meaning.

->

Even if I have usually 20-30 ms connection I sometimes get slow connection/lags too and know how it is, but the slow connection(sc) message is there for some reason. If laggy players join a room, all others see them lag and it affects the gameplay(sure, laggers see everyone lag, but we don't need to discuss this here, at this isn't important). The sc is there to filter the laggers out. As you said the game is there to have fun and if there are 2-3 laggers at one room it completly destroys the gameplay(unexpected jumps cause kills, wrong situations(= items taken or not),...). The system gives the laggers some more disadvantage, so the players without lag have some sort of compensation.

_____

I know this is not very smart if you can't do anything against the lags, but thats the system as it is. However you want to change it, somebody will have disadvantages towards others. If you get sc message or not won't change the fact that you are lagging and you and your opponents see lagging players and can't really play the game as unexpected moves(jumps) are the daily business. The sc system is simply a try, to show the laggers that there is some issue. If your connection to the eu server is not good, there is no way to solve the lags, so you have two ways to handle this: accept the situation or avoid it, but thats your decision.
