Important kiss bug

I have noticed this for a while now but now I rlly want to report this bug.

Since I came back I noticed that you kiss A LOT more often than you did before.

Easy kills turn into kisses which did not happened before.

It seems like you kiss someone if someone hits the back of your 'head' and there are also air-deathkisses where the other (with speed) dies in the kiss but 2 cm later than the other.

Someone clearly updated something about how the curve works

I am not sure if it's true, but the region of the line is the size of the dot. In these screens it seems like the line is hitting his dot.

Stijn - I don't think your examples show a lot. I have noticed this myself though. In terms of your screenshots: the first is a speed game and it is commonly misconstrued that people are in front, but in reality this is just the lag causing a delay between deaths; the second is a better example but you can see that the 2 circles overlap; the third is a clear overlap and I would say that is a kiss.

I think most of the time lag is the cause, or even perhaps bugs with the colours themselves (especially arctic and lava). I am not 100% sure these are the causes of course, but this is my opinion on the matter. I have noticed the increased frequency of "kissing".

Again, you can see that the two "head circles" are overlapping => kiss. This is assuming that this is the algorithm used, I cannot be 100% sure. However logic would say that was the case.

It would be very difficult to tell which player was 1/1000000th of a cm in front in real-time play, so the circles would make a good reference (imo). If they overlap, both players die.

 

Would be interesting if a developer could give their views on this.

The matter of fact is that a kiss only used to happen when both "heads" collided, but now it happens already if you hit your opponent like 5 mm before.

Pretty annoying if you ask me

That's exactly why this bug is not funny. It brings more luck and less skills to a speed game or any other

There is more lag than before for sure. I don't know what the problem is, but the problem seems to come from the server-side. I'll be researching this later and I'll tell what the outcome is.
