New update: Presets custom powerups and no unintended item update

Hi all,

We are working very hard on CF4, but we still give small updates on CF2 sometimes. Today there is a much wanted feature added to the game:

  • Items don't magically get selected anymore once a player enters a room with a lot of powerups
  • We made 6 presets to choose from in custom games, named:
    • All
    • None
    • Green Speed
    • Thin
    • Thorner
    • and Random

You made a mistake Geert. Most people play thorner with special corner instead of red corner.

You are probably right. I changed to green thin and green corner

cool, but i don't see anyone playing thorner nowadays. rather switch it to red speed (?)

btw: you should also consider the field size. in every setting there should be a scaled field, only in green / red speed full field (:

Dear Geert, 

Thank you for taking your time to work on minor updates for CF2. I would just like to suggest the next, if possible update for CF2. The 2v2v2v2 gamemode. This has also been a long wanted update for CF2 and hopefully it can be made possible!

This is a nice update.

Sure a 2v2v2(v2) mode would be the greatest update possible for many reasons but I totally get that even though it doesn't seem that complicated to implement to me (scoreboard + some team rank calculations; set team colors aren't even necessary) cf2 probably isn't worth the time to the dev team.

But something which I think is fairly easy to implement and has high potential added value would be a higher Powerup drop probability like up to 150% (or even more).

It would make new game modes possible and give old ones a new spin.

Seems like 4 speeds aren't enough for you Rawi ;D 

150% would be too much in general...Maybe 120%?
