Sike! Now that I've got your attention it would be helpful if you spent the next few minutes reading this post and commenting.

Dear community,

Few nights ago I had a discussion with Ely and Fluss on the general failures of this game. I felt the need to post this after our conversation. In this topic I will state two failures which play a big role in this game.

The community:

The number of players is decreasing each week. However, it's not all bad news. Fewer players can lead to a community where everyone can get to know each other very well. I kindly request everyone to make a new start and be friendly towards all! Start making amends.

Female players:

This led to the realization that girls on this game tend to drag each other down. Imagine a game where all the girls were supportive of each other? This game would be a much friendlier community if girls didn't try to stab each other in the back. Why are the male players on this game able to get on well with each other with fewer problems? Because they don't gossip about each other. They treat each other with more respect.

Spread love – not your legs!

If you are a girl and want to join this movement comment I’m in and stand with all the girls on Curve Fever.

There are players which only play the game because they still like it, so why ruin the fun for them with your negative attitude? Together we can solve anything.

Thanks for reading, hope this keeps you woke.

Feel free to criticize my post,

share your thoughts about my post or ideas on how to improve this,

if you have got any other problems let us know in the comment section.

I completely endorse all women who spread their love AND their legs!

But seriously, CF2 will continue to decline as time passes, this is inevitable. A way in which you can delay a game's death is by advertising it to different people; the only problem is that CF2 requires players to download Adobe Flash Player (ADP), and considering that ADP will soon die out, the game developers are more concerned with creating a new Curve Fever.

The developers, however, do not realise that A VERY LARGE majority of the community here just want a CF2 remastered game with perhaps extra features. (You don't have to call it Curve Fever 2 Remastered.)

I find that it's sometimes difficult to be 'friendly' all the time in this game. Gspeed FFA, for instance, makes me extremely toxic and often leads me to say tons of regrettable stuff to others, hence why I refrain from playing the game mode as much as I used to.

(I myself curse A LOT. I swear at least 20 times in every Curve Fever 2 session.)

I disagree with your point about male players getting along with one another: I myself do not get along with a handful of other male players. Asking some women to stop gossiping is like asking a man to stop masturbating; in other words, it likely won't happen.

I love the enthusiasm though. Respect for click-baiting me. I-m so happy

P.S. Kudos to you for using 'fewer' instead of 'less' in the respective context.

  I should start by mentioning that I like this idea. As .Mela mentioned already, it isn't rare in Curve Fever 2 community that girls stab each other by talking bad things behind their backs.

 I, as a convinced pacifist, don't understand why people always fight. I meant fighting in all of its forms. Well, they have their reasons for fighting, but usually these reasons aren't worth fighting. Usually, there's almost always drama and mostly it's between female players in Curve Fever 2 community. I, as a male, don't enjoy drama and so don't most of the male people.

  .Mela's plan would work out perfectly for avoiding the drama.  I'd support her plan cause due to that, less people would feel themselves betrayed and horrible. I've even seen many male players making fun of good female players cause they are female. Usually, women are more sensitive than men. If people act like this then many women would feel themselves hated. So, I'd like to suggest for you, guys, to respect all players, despite of their gender.

 Every player should feel herself/himself wanted in this community. If people aren't friendly to each other in this community, then people, that feel themselves hated, leave the community. Due to that, the amount of regular players decreases every week as .Mela already mentioned in her post. Also, most of people play Curve Fever 2 for fun. If the things continue going on the track, as they go now, then even more people would leave the game. It would leave us even emptier game as it is now. I've personally noticed that the game is empty lately and it's not so fun for me to play it anymore. I think it isn't fun for other players, too and soon there might be no active players in this game.

 I think, that male people should also join this movement, cause it'd only be good, if everyone can join this movement. So, I'll step in this and join the movement as first male person. As Neil Armstrong used to say, it's a small step for a man, one giant leap for manking (community).

I'm in.

Feel free to critisize my comment.

I personally feel like toxicity in cf2 especially against girls got less and actually it's been quite some weeks that I saw public drama between girl curvers which I used to see a lot - pretty much daily. I always thought that this kind of toxicity is a part of cf2 but over past weeks I took a more open minded look at the community with which I kinda proved my previous statement wrong.

Sure gossip and toxicity won't ever completely dissapear, there will be always girls and boys being "fake", having plain bad intentions, seeing each other as "competition" because that's their nature. Maybe toxicity and back stabbing is just their own protection mechanic.

Don't be naive, don't make urself a target and most importantly don't take anything too seriously.

.Mela,

First of, I am happy that you posted this topic. It is really important that people share their opinion, let their voice be heared and give the mod team and developers feedback to work with! :)

We are aware that there is a amount of harrasment, hateful thoughts or even targeting. Please know that we will never approve this as developers, moderators or as a community together. Games in general exist to enjoy the game, maybe meet more friends but especially to have fun. I am not aware or don't have the knowledge to say if males get along better or not. I think this is very depending in the individual cases and any previous history.

If have recently seen some cases of toxic behavior, targeting or just crossing the border. These things indeed happen, sadly enough. As an entire community we need to make clear this is not okay.

I don't see the point of writing a 10 pages long letter about this but please keep this in mind: If you think somebody is really crossing the border, targeting or being toxic, don't hesitate. If you see that other people are getting attacked, don't hesitate either.

If you see a moderator online, report it; take screenshots or video record it; keep the chatlog and so on. A lot of people might say that taking screenshots and so on is not worth the time and work... wrong

If someone is giving/showing us proof or we can see it ourselves, we will not hesitate either. We, the developers and moderators are here, we do care, helping everyone, giving the best solution.

Don't be afraid to talk or report! We don't bite, we should know if there are problems on the horizon. Only with feedback or reports we can work towards a problem. So again thank you .Mela for bringing this up, together with the others that posted messages here.

Keep curving, together <3

After reading this post, I've also checked the CFPro-forum for the first time(never advertised at CurveFever 2-forum?! :O ) and found something interesting at their guidelines:

Quote:

Repeat offenders

Repeat offenders of the above rules and guidelines will be punished. Any moderator has the ability to officially warn, mute or ban a user for violating the rules at their discretion. If it is determined that your conduct is not in line with these guidelines, the order of punishments will be as follows:

1. First official warning;
2. Second official warning and short cool-down period account ban;
3. Third and final official warning and longer temporary account ban;
4. Permanent account ban;
5. 1 year global IP address ban;
6. Permanent global IP address ban.

Why can't we make it exactly the same here??? I mean seriously! Some users(or even the same account) at CurveFever 2 got banned 10 times or even more and still get just 1 week ban(if they get banned for any possible form of cheating or toxic chatbehaviour). I've said it at the past and I will say it again, the sanctions taken at CurveFever 2 are way too weak. There are some users that are insulting other players all day long and do it each week with another account. Same case for some boosters. This game exists several years longer than CFPro and we still don't have a similar system to the one quoted above.

I think using the same system here would be very helpful to support the peaceful community.

As a girl who's been playing this AIDS for like 2 years I can say that I cannot keep my legs closed but I can confirm there are a ton of catfishes on here so gl guys, and CF2 still dying bc Geert being stupid with his new CF3 and CF Pro thing? Um bye it's lagger than me trying to play on EU server on CF2. In the past year I've noticed that literally 90% of the people on my list don't come on anymore, and at least 30% have cancelled their account as a way to let go of this toxic community. It's sad seeing people you were once close to and talked to every single day start to fade without knowing another way to contact them. But that being said, it's also pretty relieving to know they've let go of this chapter of their lives and moved on to more productive stuff in life. So for the new players, new moderators, or new champions, and etc, just knoW THAT WE'RE GOING DOWNNNNNNN I'M YELLING TIMBER YOU BETTER MOVE YOU BETTER RUN

This might probably be the reason why people "hate" on girls in this game.

Online

You should heal your addiction if you wanna contact old players. Thats crazy, contact for what. I'm about to create new nick and don't tell anyone cause im tired of old players. There are plenty other places you can say hi. There is no reason to contact anyone, people left cause they don't wanna talk with anyone in here, so why should you? Ok there are different cases, maybe you played with someone for long, but didn't you had enough talk? Find new people.

I do not think men slander each other and scold less than women... Smile

Which girls are you talking about? Who is the one who slander? Who's bothering? I did not notice that (between girls).

Anyway, I'm for the players to stop being scolded here and playing more peacefully. It's just a game for fun... Everybody can be proving something and chasing ego in real life where it makes more sense... Smile

Kudos to Mela for bringing this up.

From what I observe in game this problem is unfortuanetly not only amongst girls. I have seen and experienced plenty of guys who whine beind my back, just as much as girls have. (Probably more)

So it should be a message to all curvers to treat people with respect. Trolling is fun and you can mess as much as you want with your friends, but everyone should feel welcome and comfortable in game. No matter what.

Find other ways to feel better about yourself, than bringing others down.

When will you realize that game is almost died ? I mean, there isn't enough player anymore to start talking about problems now. Just let it go like it is, girls are demons and hypocrits anyway, they will never change that's a fact.

Even if you are all saying "yeah spread love blabla", we can bebsure that you won't respect this. Within 1 week, you will talk bad on the back of an other girl anyway, for ridiculous reasons and most of the time for relationships goals.

As a girl, i can't tolerate that, but we can't do anything about it. I understood some months ago that i should try to have a relationship in real life and not here, and it's much better now. You should do the same, that's the solution!

Rina

I clearly outlined in my post that others are free to criticise It, and you have done that Rina, well done. I agree, Curve Fever is dying but which game isn't? Every game peaks at a certain point, then loses its popularity. Curve Fever has lost its peak, but there is still a great community that exists which could be even better.

But you're wrong. Girls aren't demons and they're not hypocrites. I'm sorry you've had such a negative experience with female players on this game. But if people are willing to change for the better, you should support this change and encourage them to. You need to refocus that negative energy and find something positive to use that energy for instead. You probably think the same way as us, otherwise why still check the forums and contribute towards the community?

Thanks to all the players who read this thread and decided to make amends with other players.

First of all, I'm not contributing to this game since some years. I'm just watching forums from time to time for post like this, which has no sense in my opinion.

If I say that girls are "demons" and hypocrites, it's also because I know you and you don't respect any line of your topic (as the others who commented after you). Girls were always hypocrits, and they still will be, that's like this. I'm also an hypocrite, that's natural, we can't change our origins. So if you still find some fun here, just play it, but don't try to change the mind of girls, this is a lost cause.

Regards, Rina

Well, this is an interesting topic!

A wise person once said, "a game community is a place where you are free to enjoy the product together, harmoniously, not a place where you can go to just spout whatever you feel like and dub it 'freedom of speech'". We agree. We are all for making this community as progressive, diverse, inclusive, friendly and welcoming as possible. Harassment of any kind has absolutely no place in that vision. Harassing someone, throwing racial slurs, shaming of any kind, and so on, are things that we - Hidden Monster Games Community Managers and Curve Fever Moderators - fight every single day. Defending these actions under 'freedom of speech' won't do anyone any good whatsoever. Fighting harassment is one of the main reasons that sharing accounts is now against the rules. We've also made some technical adjustments to the game to help combat the issue.

But the best way for us to be able to help is if you send in reports to supportatcurvefever.com. We read and process ALL OF THEM. No exceptions. Send in all information you can gather about incidents, make screenshots and do what you can to solidify the claim. This helps us take more affirmative action. Please, don't hesitate to do this. We'll then be able to help you, and you'll be effectively improving the community, bit by bit.

As for the incurred bans; as you all know, Curve Fever 2 isn't the newest game anymore. Stemming from 2012, the systems that allow us to moderate players and the community have gotten slightly antiquated with it. That's why it's also at the discretion of us Community Managers and Moderators to determine the severity of one's actions and decide on how to act based on that severity. Multiple accounts have already been permanently banned for their second infringement, recently, because their actions were atrocious enough to warrant the action.

We know that being on the receiving end of harassment is awful, and we will not allow it. If you feel like you're being harassed, collect evidence, and email us at supportatcurvefever.com. <3
