Introducing 1v1 ranked ladder

4 Dec 2014 - 15:11

Hey Curvers!

Today I am very excited, because we have added a new feature that has been requested often:

1v1 ranked ladder

We implemented this feature because until today all 1v1 games would count as an FFA game. Playing 1v1 is of course very different from FFA, so it deserves a separate ranking. Also playing 1v1 resulted in a much higher rank gain per game. This caused that the top players in the FFA ladder almost solely played 1v1.

One versus one ranked can be played by starting a ranked room with just two players. This means when you start a ranked team room with only two players, it will count as a ranked 1v1 match. Every night there will be an update of the players position, and it will show how many positions you gained, ... or lost.

Hello players,

There is a downtime planned for 13:30 CET to bring out a new update. We don't know exactly how long this will take, but are aiming for less then 2 hours.

As usual, I will update this post when the maintenance is completed.

Congratulations to Pug's team for winning the 3v3 Speed-Tournament. They played two fantastic last matches. In the Semi Finals they won against Xantiv's team in Tie break (13-11).

After that, they also won against the team of our first Olympic champion Gilnash (mooh). Therefore all of them deserved the crown and we have three new champions now!

Also congratulations to mooh for making the second place and Nawl for the third place.

9 Nov 2014 - 21:49

Congratulations to Gilnash for winning the first Curve Olympics. Even if he get kicked out it the Semi finals in the last tournament, he made 83 Points in six tournaments, won three of them and is therefore the deserved first olympic champion. Also congratulations to Pug. and Usain BoIt for Place 2 and 3.

The next congratulation goes to MisterBart (MarioP1) for winning the sixed tournament. The last final tournament was a kind of replacement for the official October tournament. Therefore he received the Champion title!

We, the tournament moderators know, that the system at all wasn't perfect - But don't forget: It was the first edition! We are planning to do this again in the next year! Tell us your suggestions via private message or if we meet us ingame.

We hope you enjoyed the Olympics at least a bit!

Check the final leaderboard here.

Best Regards
